Join Our Piano Family
I am currently pausing the acceptance of new students to focus on my graduate studies and supporting my current students. I plan to resume meeting with prospective student families in the summer of 2025.
Beginners aged 4–7 and strongly motivated transfer students who have already established a daily piano practice habit are particularly welcome!
-
Beginners aged 8 and older may be accepted if they are highly motivated to learn piano and can commit to daily practice, as well as dedicated study toward recital performances and piano exams.
-
I also enjoy working with high school students who have achieved late-intermediate to advanced proficiency in piano performance and wish to continue their piano studies at a pace that accommodates their other serious commitments, such as AP classes or competitive athletics.
Please note:
-
I am not currently accepting new adult students.
-
An acoustic piano at home is required for practice before enrollment.

01
Your child will look forward to their recital performances at our studio events!
I have taught piano to children for the past 20 years at my home studio in the East Bay and helped many families discover the joy of having piano music in their lives. East Bay kids are very busy with sports and other activities, but I have always managed to find ways to motivate children and successfully helped them discover the joy and the sense of pride in piano performance gives to children.
02
I can help your child establish a solid piano study path through RCM or ABRSM exams.
Now, let’s take that sense of pride one step further...
Once your child’s budding sense of pride is awakened, it’s the perfect opportunity to nurture a growth mindset through music study. By working toward exams from a young age, children can develop discipline, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment that will benefit them in all areas of life.
03
I create personalized goals and build long-term relationships with students and families.
From my own experience, I understand how profound an impact a first piano teacher can have on a child’s life. I also feel immense gratitude toward my mother for finding me a piano teacher at a very young age. Inspired by this, I strive to build strong relationships with my students and their families, helping unlock each child’s potential and enriching their lives with the joy of live music in their home.
